Minnesota Lichen Guide Release!!

Minnesota Lichen Guide Released!

I recently published a full color, photographic guide to Minnesota’s common lichens! This field guide came into being through Minnesota Master Naturalist Volunteer work with my fellow volunteers, Karen Kopacz, the graphic designer and project manger, Zan Tomko.

I (Tanner) have been leading mushroom and lichen walks for the last nine (9) years. I was first introduced to lichens in graduate school while pursuing my master’s of science in Environmental Engineering at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities – class of ’18.

The book will be available for purchase at my teaching and speaking events, stay tuned for event announcements! The same content found in the book is available online as a free PDF, see the link below.
